Gothic Flamenco- Released 13th December courtesy of Bronze Records Ltd.
13 Tracks. Unlike traditional flamenco, Gothic Flamenco has a different
structure at atmosphere that draws from classical, rock, jazz, industrial,
Latin and, of course, Spanish sounds
plus the dance rhythms that are
associated in flamenco music. Improvising using flamenco techniques
mostly centered on the flamenco guitar. This creates a darker, more
emotional and harder edged feel to the music.
Overall, it has a more mysterious movement and yet still delivers
recognizable techniques
( i.e. rasqueados, falsetas and compás).
As with Gothic architecture, the overall works have a solid, well
built framework but with a flexibility in structure, allowing for more
freedom, expression and creative individuality within their various
elements.

Joint Project between G P Hall & John Ellis (The Stranglers)
John and I recorded several tracks for a project called "Pick Up"
that is now on hold due to the release of Gothic Flamenco and my
contract as a Bronze Records Artist.
We have used one edited track called "Bloodied But Unbowed"
which has John's awesome slide guitar on.
